A succession of tumbling cascades that form a foaming cauldren |
Some 275 tumultuous waterfalls tumble over the
cliffs at the border of Argentina and Brazil to form
a foaming Cauldron below a series of terrifying
precipices - a convergence point dubbed the
Devil's Throat Gorge. It is said that Argentina
provides the show and Brazil enjoys the view of the
Iguaza Falls - and is true that the cascades are
best viewed from the Brazilian panoramic
catwalks. These magnificent vantage points are
reached via paths that snake through jungle rich in
butterfly and bird life. Visit in spring when the mist
and foam cause an almost permanent rainbow
adding extra magic to the jaw-dropping views.
